Two years in, and self-taught in the parts that count.

I’m a React and Next.js developer based in Bengaluru, India. I started with the front end — components, state, the usual path — and got pulled toward the back of the stack by a problem I couldn’t solve from the browser.

A kidswear manufacturer was taking orders over WhatsApp and through resellers, and wanted their own store. I could have put it on Shopify in a week. I built it myself instead, and spent three months learning what a hosted platform had been doing for me: pricing on the server, reserving stock without overselling, handling a payment provider that retries its own webhooks.

That project changed what I look for in work. I’m less interested in whether an interface is smooth than in whether it holds up under load, and I’d rather write the boring test that proves it than the animation that hides it.

React, Next.js and JavaScript day to day, with TypeScript on newer work. Postgres with Prisma, Tailwind for styling, Vercel for deployment. I’m comfortable owning a feature from the schema to the screen.

I read and write English and Tamil, which has been more useful than I expected when writing copy for a business selling to Indian families.
